Workshop on materials characterisation, data standardisation and digitalisation

Come and discuss FAIR data and FAIR materials characterisation protocols to support reproducibility, collaboration and faster uptake of new characterisation methodologies.

As part of the NanoMECommons project, GCL has been developing an EMMO-based, Characterisation Methodology Domain Ontology, known as CHAMEO, as a general framework for digitalisation of complex characterisation workflows.

This framework is also at the core of the updated CEN Workshop Agreement standard on “Materials characterisation — Terminology and structured documentation”.

This upcoming workshop will be a great opportunity to discuss standardisation, the CHAMEO, its industrial applications and implementation in a protocol documentation app, developed together with Fraunhofer IWM.
